Our Ministries

What We Do

Home of Grace Ministries is an organization located in Bati, Cambodia, a village 45 minutes outside the capital city of Phnom Penh. The orphanage accepts children ages 4-12 from the surrounding villages, whose parents have died or are not able to take care of them anymore. Most of the children come from poor farming families, and almost all have lost at least one parent.

The orphanage provides food, shelter, education, and medical care to these children in a loving, supportive, and caring environment. At the orphanage, the children receive three meals a day, attend school, do chores, learn songs and dances, and also have free time to play with their friends. This daily structure helps the children learn how to live a disciplined lifestyle from an early age so that as they grow into adults they will be more likely to succeed.

Where We Are Working

Home of Grace Ministries supports the needs of underprivileged children in Cambodia by providing access to education, food, shelter, and medical care. The ministry also actively supplies the local community with economic and educational opportunities that secure a successful future for the children and promote a better quality of life for many Cambodians in the surrounding area.

The Impact

Home of Grace Ministries has a reputation among the villages that surround it. It is known as Jesus Land! Home of Grace Ministries does more than care for and teach children about Jesus; the ministry started at Home of Grace extends into the community through evangelism and discipleship. Weekly Bible studies and worship have been started in many of the neighboring villages and are led by Pastor Sok, who lives at Home of Grace. Sunday church services are also held at the orphanage and in the villages. Home of Grace also has a benevolence ministry to give what they can to meet the needs of the community. Each year, short-term mission trips arrive from the United States to provide medical care, vacation Bible school, and food to the community, but most importantly to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who have never even heard His name before. Because of these trips, over 8,000 people have prayed to receive Christ and more than 3,000 have been baptized. Lives are being changed.
Since Home of Grace opened its doors in 2009, we noticed a dramatic improvement in the quality of life because of the orphanage. The local police station decided to relocate, which heightened the safety of the villages. With this increased security, many expatriates have relocated back into the community, bringing wealth and more opportunities for development. The orphanage is also directly involved with low-income families and schools in the area. Home of Grace often hosts over five-hundred local children for a nutritious meal, and for many kids, these meals are a crucial part of their diet.

In addition, Home of Grace firmly believes in the power of education to change the lives of Cambodian children by opening endless opportunities for the future. As such, the orphanage pays for a teacher and sponsors the education fees of many of the village children. Through these ways and many others, Home of Grace is making a dramatic difference in the lives of many Cambodian children and their families, beyond the orphanage’s gates. The organization has been and will continue to be a crucial anchor for development in the community, bringing wealth, education, and a better life to many Cambodians.
